I speak not of quantity, but quality.

As I sit on my couch watching the Saints vs. Colt, I wonder...what is a fully developed human being supposed to be capable of?

By society's standards, or what?
Male / female, what field of study...
You might have 2 be a lil more specific. lol
But common sense tells me its a grown male playing...football?
In that case (if that IS the case) a fully developed human being should be capable of a few touchdowns...lol ;)
Let me know the specifics.

Oh, wait. Going by the title, are you referring 2 the NFL paying too much for a fully developed player with no quality? relapse...

Nah, I mean a fully developed human being(man/female).

imo, it seems that we have so much potential yet so little time that it is nearly impossible to achieve such a state.

The way I see it, is that we dont even use half of our brain, although some people have telekinesis and all that, the brain is a powerful tool that we barely get hands on with.
Thats the control center of all that we are, not to give u a biology lesson, but we wont get 2 our full potential otherwise.
Sooo off topic. Sorry.

But, yeah, I've wondered about it, too. What exactly do u mean of, "I speak not of quantity, but quality"?

That its the quality of our life and not how long we live it?

Er...something like that! :)

Comte Saint-Germain comes into mind when thinking about this topic.

Being absolutely mentally developed in my opinion, means having the absolute amount of information that your brain can handle at your disposal, viewpoints on life, morality and "oneness with the universe" bullshit are irrelevant as far as i'm concerned.
You could be a Nazi or a Buddhist and still have reached the same level of mental development.
I enjoy questions with no one answer = )

Going back to my question, I wonder what a fully developed human being could be cable of? Mentally + Physically.

Physically as in having attained the most strength you can whilst using proteins, lipids etc.
And having good dexterity in relation to your body structure. But I guess physically would imply rather a lot of discussion over what the better aspects of humanity are. Height? Weight? Muscle strength? Mental dexterity? Ethical disposition?

It is known that the individual shapes his/her own mind, so perhaps one can attain something close to a perfect mental equilibrium, which would allow him/her to stand alone in society, without having to depend on those around him/her.

I better get back to work lol

I'm not sure if you explained yourself correctly in the post or feedback, or maybe I really will be in the bottom 10 percent of your scheme to kill off "dee dee dee's", but what exactly are you saying?
Reb & Ash confused me more...
What exactly is a "fully developed" human being?
Your feedback is confusing.
HELP!
crazy,

A fully developed human being can be capable of many things, right? Doesnt it depend on their talents? Meaning, if a woman/or man has a natural artistic ability, he or she should be capable of expanding && using that talent proficiently, rite?
[[this is like PSY clas..lol ;]]

"Doesnt it depend on their talents?" ---that's the thing, should a fully developed human being excel at just one area? Or should he dominate in every aspect of life?

*Crystal* said...

Why would one person need to dominate in all aspects of their life..talentwise or otherwise?
That wouldnt allow them to stand out from the herd. we'd have a flock of superbeings..hmmm?
Thanks for making us thing outside of the box ;)

I dont know about everybody, but I expect 2 be capable of at least finishing my major n having a family one day. I just want 2 be successful and happy, but that doesnt mean im not capable of more.
im not trying 2 be a millionaire, I just expect 2 be able 2 maintain myself down the line n live comfortably.

I think, as far as depending on the talents and skills we have, we can always branch out and focus on other things to broaden our capability. Life is too short to stick on one particular category, but although we're expected to be capable of the basics, there are people out there that are such well-rounded individuals, so there really are no limits.
I'm not sure what you mean as "supposed" to be capable of, but as far as society's standards, those expectations are limitless and varied depending on each different perspective of each individual.
-Good post!

AS FAR AS WHAT UR CAPABLE OF, WE ALL HAVE A MAXIMUM, BUT TO REACH OUR POTENTIAL IT TAKES PRACTICE N IF I WANT TO GET INTO SPORTS, IM GOING TO WORK AT THAT AND GET TO AS FAR AS I CAN WITH MY ABILITY. BUT THAT LEAVES ME VULNERABLE IN OTHER ASPECTS THAT I HAVENT WORKED ON.
